Local Sandor Development Project

Mar 24, 2015

Sandor Development is developing up to 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurant shops adjacent to the new 120,000 square foot Kroger under construction at 5414 E. Thompson Road, just east of Emerson Road on the south side of Indianapolis.  Kroger Plaza will consist of spaces starting at 1,200 square feet.  Plans will be available soon, and Sandor hopes to break ground as early as this summer.

This project follows the new development project Sandor just completed at 106th Street and Michigan Road in Carmel. Gateway Shops is now fully leased, with 11,671 square feet of small shops adjacent to the Marsh Marketplace serving Carmel and Zionsville.

Sandor is very excited about Kroger Plaza, coming to the south side of Indianapolis. Please contact Toby Davis for more information and leasing opportunities: 317-524-7808 or

Sandor is one of the largest privately held shopping center companies in the nation, owning and operating over 8 million square feet of commercial retail across 25 states. Building on 50 years of success, and with a focus on center revitalization, Sandor has the stability to take a long-term view of property and market success. Although the portfolio was built through ground-up development, in 2007 the focus shifted to acquisition. Since then, Sandor has acquired more than $170 million of undeveloped land, existing centers, and single-tenant assets in the last four years. While many competitors have struggled, Sandor’s financial strength created opportunity, growing the company from 5 to 8 million square feet in the past five years. Sandor is geared for another 50 years of success. For more information on Sandor and its properties, please visit their website at
