During this unique holiday event, every employee had an opportunity to educate their colleagues on the charity of his or her choice, and then Sandor made a donation on their behalf.
“I have been a long-time supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, having lost two good friends to blood cancer,” said Ron West, Sandor’s chief operations officer. When the annual Sandor Season of Giving came around again, I had a tough choice to make. But once I heard how many children here in our own backyard are without needed hearing aids, I switched my choice to Katie’s Hear to Help. I am proud of what Sandor does to support causes that each of our employees is passionate about.”
This holiday season, Sandor supported 40 charities, from local food banks to national organizations. Among the charities were Katie's Hear To Help Foundation, based in Danville, Indiana, the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis, and the American Lung Association. Sandor, as a whole, also donated to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, providing more than 120,000 pounds of fresh produce to homeless individuals in Indianapolis. Sandor's commitment to its communities is evidenced by a full calendar of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, culminating in the Sandor Season of Giving.
